The strength of the AFL Asia – Asia Championships continues year in year out with 18 teams returning to complete in Manila, Philippines for the ultimate prize in Asian footy, the Asia Championship title.
The Philipines Eagles and Bail Geckos will return this year to defend their title in two division that is looking to be tough and hard fought. This year tournament will also see the introduction of our first PNG team, the Papua New Guinean Muruks who will compete in for the division two completion.
This year will also see the introduction o the “Local Player” rule which is designed to help grow Australian Rules Football further into Asia over the coming years.
In the coming weeks, notices and updates will be released with further information regarding what is going to be a fantastic year.
