All-Asia teams have been named as the inaugural AFL Asia Cup comes to a close in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

After three days of fierce competition, Japan was crowned the men’s champion of Asia, while Thailand took the honours in the women’s competition.

MVPs for the Grand Finals were Japan’s Kouki Ariga (men’s) and Thailand’s Irravadee Makris (women’s).

Thailand’s Irravadee Makris was Grand Final MVP and leading goalkicker in the women’s competition.

Makris – a powerful midfielder/forward was also the leading goal kicker in the women’s competition, while Cambodia’s Boree Kieng topped the goal kicking table in the men’s competition.
