How did you first start playing AFL?

I joined the Thailand Tigers Australian Rules Football Club through the Duang Prateep Foundation and the CUBS [Communities United By Sport] program. I started taking it seriously when I was about 14.

Is this your first time playing at the Champs?

This is my third time playing in the Champs.

What does it mean to represent your country at the Asian Champs?

It means a lot to me and my teammates. Everyone has to give their best when competing under the name Thailand Tigers. It’s a great opportunity and experience for me and everyone on the team.

Which team are you most excited about playing against at the Champs?

I’d love to play against Japan again because they’re a complete and highly skilled team. Playing against strong teams helps us learn things we’ve never experienced before – it’s a valuable opportunity for me and my teammates.

How much are you training in the lead-up to Champs?

I always train hard, no matter what competition it is, but especially for the upcoming Asian Champs. I’m always ready to learn new things from the coaches.

Who are some players from your team in good form recently?

Oh, it has to be Mani—he’s incredibly talented and truly my idol. Even when he kicks casually, I watch and try to imitate him. Mani teaches our teammates in a way that’s easy to understand, and thanks to him, everyone has improved so much.

What’s your position or role in the team?

I can play any position. Wherever the coach puts me, I’m ready! But I mostly play as a forward, wing or midfielder.

What do you like most about playing footy?

I like being healthy and strong, improving my English communication and learning new playing techniques.

What’s your most exciting moment in a footy match?

Playing against the Jakarta team in Indonesia was a great match and really opened my eyes to new ways of playing and techniques. The Jakarta team was one of the best teams we’ve played against and I gained a lot of experience there.

How has playing AFL helped to build community in your local area?

It helped me build discipline—both on and off the field—and it’s inspired other kids in the community who play footy to dream bigger.
