The Philippine Eagles have stepped up after winning Division 3 last year, and have been joined by the China Reds in moving up a division, while Asian footy powerhouses the Singapore Wombats and the Hong Kong Dragons will both have their best teams play in Division 2. The defending champions, the Malaysian Warriors, have performed well during the year and feel they have what it takes to go back to back, while hosts Thailand are quietly confident that they can reach the final for the third time in a row.
