With the cooperation of the Port Adelaide Football Club, 45 children from Hong Kong’s Auskick Junior AFL program will play Auskick on the Adelaide Oval this Saturday night, 5 July 2014.

Port Adelaide’s General Manager of Consumer Business, Matthew Richardson said that “The Port Adelaide Football Club is delighted to be able to host the Hong Kong Auskickers and their families at our new home, Adelaide Oval.

“We’ve been up to Hong Kong a couple of times in the last year with our players including Tom Jonas, Tom Logan along with former champions in Russell Ebert and Gavin Wanganeen spending time with the kids so it will be great to host them, especially for what will be such a big game.”

The children, aged between 4 and 14 years, will play at half time during the Port Adelaide Vs Essendon clash in front of an expected crowd of 50,000 fans.

The junior players will be playing in their four respective local HK teams jersey’s and also the international Hong Kong Dragons and Port Adelaide jerseys. The players will also form the Guard of Honour welcoming the Port Adelaide players onto the field!

The total group from Hong Kong attending the night totals 200 people!

Many thanks to the Port Adelaide Football Club for the opportunity!
