Fanatical Western Bulldogs Member and Thailand Tigers Club Legend Rut Ngarmariyakul interviewed retired Bulldogs player Lin Jong as part of the Thaigers Online 2021 AFL Grand Final Party celebrations.

Lin Jong played 65 games and kicked 33 goals in a career that spanned from 2012-2021, after getting drafted with pick #9 in the 2012 AFL Rookie Draft.

Lin is a two-time VFL Premiership Player with the Footscray VFL team (2014 & 2016) and received the 2016 Norm Goss Memorial Medal, awarded to the player judged best afield in the Victorian Football League Grand Final.

Lin was the first Australian of East Timorese and Taiwanese descent to play in the AFL and is a wonderful example of what local Asian players can aspire to and potentially achieve, if provided with the right pathways and opportunities.

Rutkermanis did an outstanding job interviewing Lin and we look forward to working more closely with both of these excellent leaders in potential ambassadorial roles moving forward.
