Vietnam Swans mates Jake Norris and Sean Down are setting out on a 2,000km walk across Vietnam, Laos and Thailand to raise awareness and funds in the fight against human trafficking.
Last year the duo walked from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City to raise over $50,000 for anti-trafficking charities. This October, they return for a bigger challenge – trekking from Vietnam to Thailand’s Chiang Mai – hoping to inspire support for vulnerable children in the region.

“This cause really hits home when you see the reality up close,” Jake said. “The work that Children’s Foundation Blue Dragon does to rescue kids and rebuild lives is incredible.’
‘We’re just trying to put one foot in front of the other to support that work.”
Supported by Blue Dragon and the Irish and Australian Embassies, their new campaign, Steps Against Slavery, aims to raise over $20,000 to fund rescues, rehabilitation and education for children affected by trafficking.

Their journey will be documented through their platform DiBoWalk (“đi bộ” means walk in Vietnamese), with updates, stories and ways to donate shared on social media.
