AFL Asia’s first ever function in Australia – our 1st Birthday, will be held at the Pier Hotel, 1 Bay Street, Port Melbourne on Sunday 17 August at 7pm.
The event will celebrate the achievements of the Asian teams participating in the AFL’s 2014 International Cup as well as our 1st Birthday.
Already, the Indonesian Garudas, Team China, Japan Samurais and Indian Tigers have confirmed their attendance. The Pakistan Shaheens may also join us.
GWS are a chance to have a presence. There might even be a few other notables.
But of course, they are the trimmings. The superstars are from the teams playing in the IC14.
This event is also about drawing all former players and friends of footy in Asia (AFL Asia’s Alumni) out of the Australian wilderness and back into Asian footy. Please help to spread the word. This event warmly welcomes all who want to be friends of Asian footy.
