Thanks to the support of the AFL and in conjunction with the Vietnam Swans and Singapore Sharks and Wombats, AFL Asia is delighted to make available Level 1 Coaching Courses in Singapore on Saturday 23 April and in Vung Tau, Vietnam on Sunday 24 April.

The courses will be conducted by Wally Gallio, High Performance Manager for AFL Northern Territory and NT Thunder. Wally is an AFL High Performance (Level 3) accredited coach and the courses will be open to all levels of senior and Auskick coaches across Asia, free of charge.

The course in Vung Tau, Vietnam will be held in conjunction with the Vietnam Swans’ 7th Anzac Friendship Game vs the Jakarta Bintangs, with participants welcome to stay on for the Anzac Dawn Service at the nearby Long Tan Cross on Monday 25th, which will hold additional significance in this 50th Anniversary Year of the Battle of Long Tan. Wally Gallio – bio
Wally has been involved in Australian Football for over 30 years. Wally has coached at a range of clubs across Australia for more than 20 years including a stint as coach of the NSW/ACT Rams in the TAC Cup and coach of the Northern Territory Thunder. He has spent time as Development Manager for SANFL clubs Glenelg and Woodville West Torrens and as the AFL Head Coach of the NT Institute of Sport developing talented athletes and running high performance programs. From 2010 to 2013 Wally filled the role of AFLNT Talent and Coaching Manager where he was responsible for the delivery of coaching development programs across NT. He has worked closely in delivering strength and conditioning activities and supported the development of talented footballers within the AFL Academy.
