The Cambodian Eagles & Cambodian Apsaras are excited to launch their club’s 2021 AFLX Season which kicks off tomorrow afternoon.
The Eagles and Apsaras planned a 7 round AFLX season last year prior to COVID-19 hitting and despite the stop start restrictions throughout the year they were able to successfully fit in 5 rounds.
International travel and the ability to tour is looking seemingly unlikely again this season and the all-in one-club have invested in a domestic AFLX 12 round season with men’s, women’s, and mixed AFLX matches to be played every month.
The teams and team captains will be announced prior to this Saturday’s opening round, with the players to remain with their teams for the entire season.
Some of our clubs in Asia have already invested in local domestic competitions and were either established prior or during the pandemic. It has given them a head start on what we suspect is going to be a highly important whole club strategy this year and beyond, which will help club’s keep their players motivated, develop, maintain and increase participation and be able to invest more resources into local development.
