Absolutely fantastic to see footy being played again within the region as clubs begin to gear up for the 2021 season.

The Cambodian Eagles and Cambodian Apsaras launched their 2021 AFLX season in style with the Blue team the big winners in a stunning conclusion to the opening round.

Remarkably the Blue, Red and Yellow teams all came away with wins, with the three-way tie decided by a dramatic shoot out.

The Cambodian Eagles Auskick also kicked off the season whilst the proud club finally got an opportunity to celebrate last year’s Best & Fairest winners.

Over in Pakistan, AFL Pakistan hosted their Kashmir Solidarity Day Cup, which was held at the Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad. It’s the largest stadium in Pakistan and has a capacity of over 48,000 people.

In an exciting game of football, the Tigers Fc proved too strong when it mattered most against the Rovers FC running out winners 5.3 (33) to 2.2 (14).

A Female Exhibition Game and an Under 15’s Exhibition Game were also played ahead of next months AFL Pakistan National Championships, which will be held in the nation’s capital in Islamabad.
