The Geckos are one of the iconic teams of Champs and its great to see them back after a few years lost in the white wash. The Geckos are always strong at home, crushing the Bintangs in Bali in September 29.13 to 14.08 and hosting their annual 9’s tournament. While they may be the fittest guys on the field, just getting them there has always proved the stumbling block. However they fare with numbers, everyone is just glad to see them in Bangkok for #AsianChamps2015
President’s thoughts:
The Bali Geckos are back to the Asian Champs and looking forward to getting their boardshorts dirtier all over rather than the odd stain you know where when Uluwatu hits 15 feet.
With the swell forecast looking solid for Bali for the weekend, the team has been decimated with last minute drop outs who would rather be dropping in. The traveling team will do the Geckos proud though and will ensure the level of fun is kept to a maximum. Thanks to our hosts and have a great weekend!
