AFL Asia, in conjunction with the Laos Elephants Australian Football Club, and in consultation with the
participating teams, has today announced that the Indochina Cup scheduled for May 23 in Vientiane,
Laos will be postponed.
The health and safety of the travelling parties was the number one priority in the decision to postpone
the event, and AFL Asia maintains that has been, and will be, their continued focus.
AFL Asia maintains a strong relationship with the participating clubs and members, and we look forward
to working together for the remainder of the 2020 season, including hosting the Indochina Cup later in
2020.
AFL Asia and the Laos Elephants Australian Football Club, as well as all the participating teams, will
continue to remain agile in their decision making as they look for an amiable solution to hosting the
Indochina Cup, which AFL Asia maintains is a very important event in the annual calendar.
A confirmed updated date for the Indochina Cup will be communicated in due course.
