The South China AFL commenced season 2015 on January 24th for the Australia Day weekend in Macau. Hosts the Macau Lightning have secured a new Football field in partnership with The International School of Macau.

6 teams from Macau, Hong Kong’s Lizards, Typhoons, and Cobras, and South China’s Guangzhou Scorpions and Guangdong Seagulls competed in a 6 game tournament. In the season kick off game home side Macau Lightning came out in strength with 38 players, overthrowing tournament favorites the Guangzhou Scorpions, who were fresh from their local Guangdong AFL series, now adapting to the physicality of the top South China AFL league. Scores for all the games will follow shortly.

The next monthly tournament is Feb 28th in Guangzhou.
