The prospectus for the 2014 Indochina Cup has just been released by host club, the Thailand Tigers.

The 8th Annual Indochina Cup will be held on 16 August 2014 in Thailand. Below, President of Host Club, the Thailand Tigers, President Brendan Cunningham delivers the official welcome to the participating teams.

Dear Indochina players, officials, supporters, and sponsors,

On behalf of the Thailand Tigers Australian Football Club, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone to Horseshoe Point, Thailand, for the 8th Annual Indochina Cup.

Joining the usual teams – Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam – we are delighted to announce the debut of the Myanmar Fighting Cocks in the tournament this year.

The Vietnam Swans are the current title holders, but will no doubt face strong opposition from all clubs, as this tournament becomes increasingly more competitive.

Also, for the very first time, we will see a combined Indigenous All-stars team play a combined Kangaroos team in what we hope is a springboard to entering an Indochina team in the AFL’s International Cup in 2017.

Best of luck to all participants!

Footnote: In the time between the writing and publication of this prospectus, it has been confirmed that former West Coast Eagles’ player, Andrew Embley, will be the inaugural coach of the Indochina All Stars!
