AFL Asia is excited to announce that former Western Bulldogs superstar Brad Johnson has agreed to become our first ever AFL Asia Ambassador.
The official announcement was made during a captivating interview with the 364 AFL-game legend from the Sons of the West on our latest AFL Asia podcast – #howgoodsfootyinasia
“Johnno” and the team from Zena Sport have recently partnered with AFL Asia as they look to expand their female chest protective garment into the Asian market and provide more opportunities for AFL Asia participants to feel protected and comfortable when they play our game.
Excited about the opportunity, Brad exclaimed that it is “exciting to be a part of promoting our great game across Asia.”
The ambassador role will see Brad leverage his connections in the AFL and the media for the betterment of the game in Asia, as well as hopefully travelling across our continent once international travel returns for functions and events.
Brad is the Western Bulldogs games record holder, a 6-time All-Australian, 3-time Charles Sutton Medallist as the Doggies Best & Fairest and captained the club for four years during his illustrious 17 year career that spanned over three decades.
It’s an outstanding announcement and a major coup for AFL Asia to have one of the golden boys of the AFL on board as an official AFL Asia Ambassador and we’re delighted to see what Johnno and the Zena Sport team can bring to the region.
