The interview was aired on 9 June 2014 in Australia and was repeated on the Australia Network.
Johns argued that Australian Rules Football is Australia’s Signature Sport and, therefore, can be a powerful vehicle to promote Australia.
Aussie Rules’ potential to promote Australia is enhanced when the Australia Network beams in the footy.
